在当地⼈眼中 我和强尼 两个⿊⽪肤的“⽼外” 穿⾏于延安的⼤街⼩巷

也许就是这个古⽼城市正在发⽣的种种变化的象征

We were buying equipment and planning trips to find local wildlife

这给我们俩构成了一种既矛盾又有趣的感觉

晚上 我们住在延安当地独具特色的窑洞式民宿中

In the evening,we stayed in a unique cave-style homestay in Yan'an

这是一种充分利用高原有利的地形 凿洞而居的黄土高原特有建筑形式

This is a unique architectural form of the Loess Plateau

窑洞简单易修

The cave drilling is simple and easy to repair

省材省料 坚固耐用

saves materials and is durable

且冬暖夏凉

It’s also warm in winter and cool in summer

具有鲜明的人与自然和睦共生的特点

and has the distinct characteristics of harmonious coexistence between man and nature

时至今日 我们居住的这间窑洞里已经设施齐全

我们来到了著名的南泥湾

we came to the famous Nanniwan

在中国有一首家喻户晓的民歌就叫《南泥湾》

Which is a well known folk song called “Nanniwan”

⻩⼟⾼原过去是⼀个贫瘠的地⽅

The Loess Plateau is a barren place

⽽江南则是中国传统中的富庶之地

and Jiangnan is a rich land in Chinese tradition

The song sings that through hard work

The living habits of the crested ibis are quite demanding

where the twelve months of the year are divided into dry and rainy season

这几年来到中国学习生活

After coming to Chinese mainland to study and live for several years

我才开始体会到春夏秋冬的四季轮转

I began to appreciate the rotation of the four seasons in spring summer autumn and winter

纬度更高的原因

And the reason for the higher latitude

这里的季节变换比广东更鲜明

the seasons here are more vivid than in Guangdong

这里的秋天有更丰富的色彩

and the autumn here has more abundant colors

他在中国学习石油工程

He studied Petroleum Engineering in China

看着他此刻陶醉在这里的风景中

Watching him revel in the scenery here at this moment

我其实更想问他是否知道

I actually want to ask him if he knows that

人类第一次明确记载发现和开采石油

the first time human being clearly recorded the discovery and exportation of oil is in Yan’an

距今一千多年前

More than a thousand years ago

中国北宋的科学家沈括 在他的著作《梦溪笔谈》中

Shenkuo a Chinese scientist in the Northern song Dynasty in his book《Dream Creek writing》

详细记载了鄜州、延州境内

he recorded in detail that in the territory of Fuzhou and Yanzhou

有一种神秘的黑色物体 当地人称之为石油

there was a mysterious black object called oil by the locals

这种石油可以点火 产自地下 与石头 泉水混杂在一起 偶尔会流出地面

This oil could be ignited product in the ground mixed with stone and spring water and occasionally filled out of the surface

当地百姓见到了

When the local people saw it

就用东西收集起来

they gathered it up with things and put it

放进瓦罐中保存

in jars to preserve it

历史与现代 游牧文化

History and modernity nomadic culture

农耕文明以及石油所代表的现代工业革命

就这样交织于同一时间与空间

are so intertwined in the same time and space

这不能不说是一种奇妙的旅行感受

其实最早咱们这里并没有豹子

Actually we didn't have leopards here at first

因为这些年延安的生态环境

over the years we have achieved good results in restoring

恢复保护工作干的比较好

and protecting the ecological environment in Yan 'an

所以 不光是华北豹

Now not only North China leopard

其他一些保护动物 比如金雕

many other protected animals such as golden eagles

黑鹳等等 也都回到这里安家了

black storks and so on have returned to settle here

这山路也太陡峭了

The mountain road is too steep

既然华北豹白天不轻易出动 只有晚上出来捕食

since the North China leopards don't move out easily during the day and only hunt at night
